Founded in August 2006, BlogTalkRadio founders Alan Ley and Bob
Charish approached us regarding a comprehensive marketing approach
that included strategy development, social media promotion and
outreach, search engine optimization, web copy development, and
more.
Working with one of our certified experts, Jaime Mintun,
BlogTalkRadio reached 10,000 unique daily visitors in less than six
months. Within a year, their daily visitor count exceeded 20,000.
They have been featured in USA Today, Los Angeles Times, New York
Times, TechCrunch.com, CNN, and more.
THE CHALLENGE
As an unknown startup, BlogTalkRadio.com had two major challenges to
surmount:
1. They were creating an entirely new space in social networking and
in the blogosphere that didn’t previously exist. We had to create a
new language and convince people that the services BTR offered were
something of value that they would want.
2. BTR was essentially a social network trying to move into a very
competitive space full of newly acquired mega-networks now backed by
the tech moguls. We had a lot of competition.
Additionally, BTR had no initial users or content, nor any tools,
marketing collateral, site content, or end-user training.
Originally a two-person team, Alan and Bob needed a single resource
that could create everything that was missing and sole their two
primary challenges.
THE SOLUTION
We first created all website content, marketing collateral, and user
training
Next, we launched a guerilla social media outreach campaign that
targeted MySpace, Facebook, and other social media outlets to
communicate with popular leaders on these sites. We brought them
over to Blog Talk Radio and assisted them in starting their online
talk shows. This created instant “buzz” and word spread quickly.
In addition to social media sites, we blitzed the blogosphere,
targeting popular blogging groups like political bloggers, mommy
bloggers, and teen angst bloggers. This created a huge group of new
users at Blog Talk Radio, as well as generating high quality
backlinks.
Further marketing was done through focused article marketing and
link building campaigns focused on organic search engine rankings.
This effort, in addition to the user generated content, enabled us
to grow traffic from zero to over 10,000 unique visitors a day
within a six-month timeframe.

Our team was tasked with optimizing product pages for "Direct
Response" consumer research phrases (brands and model #'s) in
anticipation of holiday season shopping. This was achieved across
multiple e-commerce platforms including Yahoo! Stores and X-Cart. We
were able to obtain the desired search engine rankings for the
product pages through a coordinated and aggressive one-way backlink
campaign. These backlinks were obtained through premium directory
submissions, unique blog content and affiliate relationships.

Our team was tasked with total site redesign including thematic,
search-engine-friendly site architecture, all site copy, shopping
cart integration and initial link building campaign.
Within 30 days of launching the optimized site in this very small
niche market, monthly traffic increased by over 61% and has
continued to grow each month. This site had 45,850 unique visitors
and over 81,000 page views in January 2008.

COMPETITIVE POLITICAL CAMPAIGN
For one of our political clients, we were
tasked with increasing search rankings and traffic for popular
search terms that had become aggressively competitive. In just one
month we increased site traffic from competitive terms by as much as
nearly 2000%. As the results below demonstrate, in just 30 days we
increased Google traffic by 20.79%, sponsored (PPC) Google traffic
by 204.26%, and Yahoo! traffic by 127.27%.
